Resolution rules
YES if the eur observation with rate_type=middle for 2026-10-09 in the official data.gov.my Daily Exchange Rates (1700), dataset exchangerates_daily_1700, is strictly less than the same field and rate type for 2026-10-08. NO if equal or greater. Each value is MYR per 1 EUR; a lower number means a stronger ringgit. Use the 17:00 Malaysia-time observation on each of these two exact dates, not an average or an intraday high/low. The underlying data source is Bank Negara Malaysia. Use the earliest official data.gov.my publication or dataset snapshot containing both non-null observations; freeze both values from that same snapshot and retain the publication/retrieval time and original evidence. This snapshot rule applies to both dates even if the earlier date was revised before the target date appeared. Subsequent revisions do not replace the frozen values. The official linked CSV at https://storage.data.gov.my/finsector/exr/daily_1700.csv or this exact dataset's API may be used. Compare the published decimal values without additional rounding. Do not substitute buying or selling rates, 09:00/11:30/12:00 observations, the separate KL USD/MYR Reference Rate, inverse quotations, a broker spot price, or news summaries. Trading closes at 08:00 MYT on 2026-10-09. No result may be proposed before 00:00 MYT on the following calendar day, and both observations must have been published. If either exact dated observation is absent (including a non-publication day), null, incompatible, or the required first common publication cannot be established, wait until 2026-10-16T16:00:00.000Z, then VOID at or after that deadline. Do not roll either observation to another date. These are free virtual-currency forecasts; no currency is bought, sold or delivered.
Result & evidence: NO
The earliest official data.gov.my Daily Exchange Rates (1700) snapshot containing both dates was updated 9 Oct 2026 at 17:30 MYT. Its 17:00 middle EUR/MYR values are 4.5837 on 9 Oct and 4.5767 on 8 Oct. Because 4.5837 is not strictly lower, the ringgit did not strengthen under the rule; proposed NO. https://data.gov.my/data-catalogue/exchangerates_daily_1700
