Resolution rules
YES if the winning candidate in Malaysia's 16th general election (GE16) for parliamentary constituency P072 Tapah, Perak, receives strictly more than half of all valid votes cast for candidates in that contest. NO if the winner receives half or less. Compare exact integers: 2 multiplied by the winner's valid votes must exceed the sum of valid votes for all candidates. Do not use rounded vote shares or the winning margin over the runner-up. Include valid ordinary, advance and postal votes; exclude rejected ballots and unreturned ballots. Use SPR's first official final constituency result, including an official recount completed before that first final result; an official SPR final result document or gazetted result may establish the counts. Preliminary tallies, media projections, state elections and by-elections do not qualify. Ignore later court petitions, by-elections or revisions after that first final result. Orders close 2026-10-31T16:00:00.000Z. Wait until all polling/counting for this constituency is complete, the official final result is published, and at least 24 hours after the constituency count finishes; never resolve before trading closes. GE16 polling for this contest must complete by 31 December 2028 at 23:59:59 MYT. If it does not, or the contest is uncontested, cancelled, abolished, lacks candidate-level valid vote totals, or the constituency code/name is changed without an official one-to-one unchanged-boundary mapping, wait until 2029-03-31T16:00:00.000Z then VOID. Also VOID at that deadline if any GE16 advance, postal or ordinary voting for this contest begins before trading close, or the result was published before trading close. This pre-voting safeguard overrides YES/NO. Missing evidence before the deadline is not VOID. This question concerns a vote share, not a forecast of a named party or candidate winning.
