YES if the High Court of Malaya in Kuala Lumpur, in its first substantive decision on Najib Razak’s pending application to stay execution of the 15-year prison sentence imposed in the 1MDB criminal case on 26 December 2025, grants a stay of execution of that prison sentence pending appeal. NO if that first substantive decision refuses or dismisses the application, or grants relief only from the monetary fine without staying the prison sentence. This concerns that application only, not a later fresh application, appellate ruling, appeal against conviction, pardon, SRC International sentence or house-arrest permission. An adjournment, case-management direction, or reservation of judgment is not a substantive decision. A temporary administrative pause only until the stay application can be decided does not qualify.
