Resolution rules
YES if the declared winner's valid-vote total minus the runner-up's valid-vote total is strictly below 1,000 in N.11 Sungai Udang. NO if the margin is 1,000 or more. Use exact integer candidate totals, not rounded percentages. A tied runner-up uses the shared second-highest total. An officially resolved tie for first has a margin of zero. Rejected/unreturned ballots do not count. An uncontested seat, missing candidate vote totals or no declared winner is VOID only at the evidence deadline. This is the 16th Melaka state general election, currently scheduled for 14 November 2026. Use SPR's first official final constituency result, including an official recount incorporated before that first final declaration; a gazetted return or dated official SPR result document is permitted. Ignore media projections, party claims, later court petitions, revisions and by-elections. Ordinary, early and postal valid votes count. Trading closes 2026-10-29T16:00:00.000Z, before nominations. No settlement before 2026-11-15T16:00:00.000Z AND 24 hours after actual counting for this seat finishes. A postponed contest in this same election counts only if the required result is available by 2027-02-28T16:00:00.000Z. If the election/contest is cancelled, a seat changes boundaries or cannot be mapped one-to-one to its original code, or required result/ballot evidence cannot be verified, wait until 2027-02-28T16:00:00.000Z then VOID. VOID at that deadline if the result is published before trading closes. Temporary missing evidence before that deadline is not NO or VOID.
