Resolution rules

YES if Department of Statistics Malaysia (DOSM) first officially publishes national headline all-items consumer-price inflation for the calendar month 2027-01 strictly greater than 2.0 percent year-on-year. NO if equal or lower. Observation period: the entire January 2027 in the country's local calendar, compared with the same month one year earlier as reported by the official publisher. Use the first dated official monthly CPI publication explicitly reporting this national all-items year-on-year percentage, including an explicitly labelled preliminary monthly figure. Retain that release's observation month, publication date, unit and original value; ignore later revisions. Compare the published decimal percentage directly without further rounding or recalculating from a rounded index. Do not substitute core CPI, month-on-month change, year-to-date or annual-average inflation, a regional/city or income-group series, forecasts or a news summary. An official rebasing is acceptable only if the publisher explicitly supplies the same national monthly headline year-on-year statistic. The linked official dashboard/archive locates evidence; use its exact dated release, linked official PDF or official dataset with first-release provenance. Orders close 2026-12-31T12:00:00.000Z, before the observation month starts. No result may be proposed before 2027-02-01T04:00:00.000Z and before the required release is published. If the exact comparable first-release statistic cannot be established by 2027-05-01T16:00:00.000Z, VOID only at or after that deadline. Unavailability before the deadline is not VOID.
